CFP: ALCTS PARS Digital Preservation Interest Group (DPIG) - ALA Annual Conference 2020 - Chicago June 28th, 2020

The ALCTS PARS Digital Preservation Interest Group (DPIG) seeks speakers to present at its meeting during the 2020 ALA Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois on Sunday, June 28 from 9:00-10:00 A.M. 

This year’s theme is: “Adapting to an evolving preservation environment.”

Potential topics could include but are not limited to:

  • Digital Preservation Standards and Best Practices
  • Digital Collections Assessment Methodologies and Tools
  • Cost Funding Models
  • Resource Development, Staff Training and Professional Development
  • New Tools and Technology
  • Storage Strategies and Infrastructure
  • Collaboration, Outreach, and Advocacy


PDPIG welcomes 250-500-word proposals describing 10-15 minutes presentations. Please email proposals to DPIG co-chairs Angela Fritz (afritz2@nd.edu) and Justin Baumgartner (justin-baumgartner@uiowa.edu) by April 3, 2020

Presenters will be notified of their acceptance on April 17, 2020.
