Call for Collection Profiles: Libraries and Museum Collections focused on the Midwest United States

Are you an archivist/librarian/curator/museum director that’s eager to highlight a particular collection or collections? Are you a researcher that uses an exciting and rich collection, in an institution in the Midwest or beyond? If so, consider contributing a short Collection Profile to H-Midwest. The network would like to create a comprehensive resource listing Midwest-related research collections found in public or private libraries, (house) museums, research centers, archives, and personal collections. The goal is to provide researchers with a comprehensive list of collections and resources related to life and culture in the Midwest, and to draw attention to the diverse and rich historical resources available about/in the region.

We are soliciting brief, 300-750 word descriptions of institutions, research centers, or specific archival collections that address any aspect of Midwestern history, culture, and life, including manuscript collections, audio-visual materials, and collections relating to Midwestern art, film, material- and visual culture. Send to editorial-midwest@mail.h-net.msu.edu
