Call For Program/Poster Proposals
We’re interested in thoughtful proposals on topics in every area of librarianship, addressing the range of issues of critical concern to academic libraries. We’d like representation across the spectrum of academic librarianship: from the development of BibFrame to the expansion of PDA/DDA, from new methods of electronic resource management to the integration of MOOCS, to ARL’s ‘New Roles for New Times’ liaison model. Broad participation is encouraged from librarians, staff and administrators from all types of academic libraries (including but not limited to public universities, private colleges and community colleges).
The submission deadline for presentations is November 3. Submit program proposals here.
The Academic Libraries Work Group is looking for volunteers from a variety of academic libraries (community colleges, private institutions, public universities, etc…) and roles (technical services, reference services, administration, etc…) to evaluate and rank proposals based on a provided rubric. Jurors must be current MLA members, and would be required to read and evaluate program proposals between November 10th and December 1st, and poster proposals between February 16th and March 9th.
If you’re interested in participating, please email Jill Spreitzer (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Ellen Mueller (email@example.com) (please do not reply to the list) with the following information by Monday, November 3, 2014:
