CFP: The Faculty of Information Quarterly (FIQ) Issue on the History of Information

CALL FOR PAPERS: The Faculty of Information Quarterly  (FIQ), VOL. 4, ISSUE 1.
FIQ is currently accepting submissions for the first issue of its fourth year. In dialogue with the journal's previous issue on the current state and future of information, FIQ would like to dedicate this issue to the history of information, broadly conceived, in its various aspects: to name a few, information organization, storage, and dissemination; information technology; information systems and their design; information practices; information science/studies. We also invite papers that focus on the fundamental question of what "information" is, and encourage all papers to pay attention to this question and to the implications of the concept of "information" that they are working with or advocating.
The deadline for submissions is Monday, October 17, 2011, 5 pm. For detailed submission guidelines and instructions on how to make a submission please visit Author Guidelines.
The editor-in-chief, Samhita Gupta, will be happy to answer any questions or concerns regarding submissions and can be reached at look forward to receiving your submissions.
