CFP: "Promoting Scholarly Communication Through Open Access Journals" Conference, 3/28/2014

You are invited to submit a proposal for this one day conference on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the College at Brockport. The goals include raising awareness of issues in scholarly communication, and sharing best practices in faculty and student use of open access publishing. The conference is sponsored by the SUNY Conversations in the Disciplines Program.

Intended audience includes:  Faculty, students, librarians, instructional designers, and anyone with an interest in scholarly communication.

Guidelines for Presentation Submission:   Proposals are due by January 31, 2014. Notifications will be sent by mid-February.

Proposals are being accepted for Posters on any topic pertaining to Scholarly Communication such as:
•             Publishing (in) Open Access journals – or books!
•             Teaching with Open Educational Resources (OER)
•             Scholarly Communication practices at your institution
•             Student involvement in Open Access
•             Publishing opportunities
