Call for Program and Poster Proposals
Do you have a great project, skill set, or idea to share with your academic library colleagues? Have you faced a challenge or implemented a solution that will benefit others? If so, consider submitting a presentation or poster proposal for Michigan Library Association Academic Libraries, to be held May 20, 2016 in Lansing, Michigan.

We're interested in proposals on topics in every area of librarianship, addressing the issues critical to academic libraries. We welcome proposals that explore the present and the future of academic library collections, staffing and services. Broad participation is encouraged from librarians, staff and administrators from all types of academic libraries (including but not limited to public universities, private colleges and community colleges).

Proposals should include a description of no more than 300 words and an abstract of no more than 75 words, along with at least one learning outcome. Michigan Library Association Academic Libraries is a juried process and proposals will be evaluated on their relevance to the academic library profession, originality, creativity and clarity/applicability of content and outcomes. Individuals selected as a program presenter will be expected to give a 45-minute presentation, including some time for questions and discussion. Poster presenters will present during the poster session from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2016.

The submission deadline for presentations is Monday, November 2, 2015 and the deadline for poster proposals is Friday, February 12, 2016.

Feel free to post and forward this call for proposals to colleagues who are doing work that Michigan librarians should know about! We're looking forward to hearing from you!
