Call for Ignite and Fizzle Proposals: Business, Marketing and Management Success (Michigan Library Association - April 2015)

"The real secret of success is enthusiasm." - Walter Chrysler "If you're not failing every now and again, it's a sign you're not doing anything very innovative." - Woody Allen   Share your experiences, good and bad, with colleagues in a new, exciting way - Ignite and Fizzle presentations. You've got five minutes using 20 slides that advance every 15 seconds to ignite a new idea or discuss a fantastic failure in the world of marketing, customer service or human resources. Using a combination of innovative slides and lighting fast talk, presentations are designed to raise awareness of key issues libraries deal with on a day-to-day basis. The trick is to keep it short and sweet; if you go over five minutes, we're using the air horn! Just kidding ... sort of. The Ignite and Fizzle combination session will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 as part of the Business, Marketing and Management Success Workshop at the Grand Rapids Public Library. The deadline to submit proposals is Tuesday, January 20, 2015. If your presentation is selected you will be notified by January 26, 2015.
