Call for Submissions for JCEL Special Issue on Paths to a Career in Copyright Leadership
Guest edited by Sandra Enimil, Copyright Librarian, Yale University Library, this issue of Journal of Copyright in Education and Librarianship (JCEL) will explore the many paths individuals have taken to become copyright librarians or institutional copyright officers. This issue will begin rolling publication in spring 2022.
To be considered for submission, submit an abstract of up to 200 words in English using this online form with an overview of your story of working in copyright for an educational or cultural heritage institution (due October 1, 2021). Your submission should focus on how you came to do what you do: describing the path, struggles, accomplishments or other aspects of your story that you feel would help educate, encourage, caution or inspire our readers. We seek to share a well-rounded issue that will incorporate a diverse array of stories, paths and individual backgrounds.
We hope to publish a wide range of stories and experiences, including those from underrepresented or marginalized communities based on culture, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or socioeconomic status. We encourage submissions from all countries. Assistance for authors whose second language is English will be available.
Those authors selected to contribute to the editorially reviewed issue will be notified by October 31, 2021. Final manuscripts will be due December 31, 2021, will need to be in English, 500-1000 words and formatted in APA style.
