The Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO)'s "Economics & Business Group" invites RSVPs and lightning talk proposals for our October event:
Recalculating: Agile Library Responses in Times of Crisis
Thursday, October 29th: 1PM (ET) / 10AM (PT) on Zoom.

Call for Lightning Talks:
5-7 minutes per talk, 0-4 slides per speaker
“Crisis” may be interpreted broadly/creatively
Submissions welcome from any type of information professional
Talks centering, or relevant to, business and economics librarianship will be given priority
Recommended Themes:
Disruption, creative solutions, contingency planning
Services, outreach and engagement, collections
Leadership, management, human resources
Collaborations and partnerships
Diversity, inclusion, equity, belonging, social justice
Proposals will begin to be evaluated the week of October 5th. Speakers will be alerted to whether they have been accepted no later than Friday, October 16th (if not before).
This free event is open to all--you need not be a METRO member to present or attend.
