CFP: SEMLOL Fall Meeting (Detroit, Michigan - November 22, 2019) - Practice What You Preach:The Research and Publication Process for Librarians

The Southeastern Michigan League of Libraries, SEMLOL, is preparing a program for the Fall membership meeting titled, Practice What You Preach:The Research and Publication Process for Librarians. We welcome interactive workshop, presentation, lightning talk, and poster proposals sharing your experiences with a variety of research and publication formats. Examples include but are not limited to: lessons learned from both successful and unsuccessful research experiences, determining where to publish your professional writing, and navigating the submission proposal process. Best practices, interactive activities, and creative ideas are all welcome. Presentations may be anywhere from 10 - 40 minutes long with time for questions.

The Fall SEMLOL meeting will take place on Friday, November 22 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the University of Detroit Mercy McNichols Campus.

To submit a proposal, please send a title, name of speaker(s), and an abstract of no more than 250 words to semlol.board@gmail.com by Wednesday, September 18, 2019. Accepted proposals will be notified by the end of September.

LIS students are encouraged to submit proposals based on their coursework, jobs or internships.
