“TILC is my favorite conference of the year. It's organized well, but great people, and I always learn something new from every presentation I attend!"- past attendee
“If you are an instruction librarian, these are your people! I love the spirit of creativity, innovation, and sharing that this conference offers to librarians who are teachers."- another participant's feedback
We are now accepting proposals for TILC 2023.
Our theme this year is "What Informs Your Pedagogy?” This could include exploring questions like: What beliefs drive your practice? What factors affect your teaching? How do you approach or plan for teaching in the library classroom? We also welcome proposals which discuss evidence-based pedagogy, such as critical pedagogy, trauma-informed pedagogy, reflective, collaborative, inquiry-based, and others.
We hope this theme will help you brainstorm ideas, but we will welcome any proposals related to innovative practices related to teaching and learning in libraries. TILC attendees especially appreciate stories of practical application.
Proposals are invited for three different session types:
- 2- hour pre-conference workshop (presented Thursday afternoon before the poster session)
- Posters (presented at the Thursday evening social)
- 50-minute presentations
- 7- minute lightning talks
Selection Process and Timeline
Proposals will be peer reviewed and then selected by the conference organizers to ensure that TILC offers sessions on a range of topics from a diverse set of institutions and presenters. Note that you may be invited to present in a format other than the one you proposed.
Submission deadline: December 16, 2022
Acceptance notification: end of February, 2023
