Call for Leading Edge Presenters in Orlando
Interested in being a speaker for the Leading Edge Libraries Conference in Orlando this September? The Florida & Caribbean Chapter of the Special Libraries Association is looking for high-touch, practical and unique experiences for our conference attendees at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort on Thursday-Friday, September 19-20, 2019.
The four main themes of the conference are library issues, technologies, partnerships, and assessment/data analytics. Topics of particular interest include solo librarianship, cybersecurity, customer service, attracting new users, emerging tech, cataloging/metadata, innovation in library services, best practices, vendor management and negotiations, diversity and inclusion, and illuminating the dark web.
Conference speakers should provide attendees with specific takeaways such as bibliographies, white papers, relevant articles, tools, guides, sample programs and other information. Regular session speakers will receive at least one (1) complimentary day of attendance to all sessions, including breakfast and lunch, and one (1) night accommodations at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. Keynotes and multiple talks will receive higher compensation as determined by the board.
